"LUKE, Ambassador of the Word."
"LUKE, Ambassador of the Word," is the story of the only Gentile to write a part of Scripture, one-fouth of the New Testament. His name appears in only three places, once in Colossians, once in Philemon, and once in II Timothy. He dedicates the Gospel and the Book of Acts to a man named Theophilis, of whom we know absolutely nothing.. Luke never knew Jesus, but his Gospel is written as though it was an eyewitness account.. Luke's life, as the author describes it, is an inspiring read. As with his other books, you will not want to stop.
"THE SCROLLS, John's Voice in the Wilderness"
"THE SCROLLS, John's Voice in the Wilderness," is a novel filled with surprises. Spending most of his life in the wilderness, John encounters many individuals we meet in Scripture. In his involvement with the Essene community, those who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls, he comes to understand what he is called to do. In that "calling" he wrestkles with what he wants in life as over against what Yahweh (God) wants. As many have said, it is a book you will not want to put down once you start.
"EXALTED FATHER, Abraham's Journey of Faith"
Abraham is revered as the "Father" of the world's three greatest religions. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The Old Testament devotes 25 chapters to an individual who struggles with his faith, more than any other man. In this novel the author fills in the "cracks and knot holes" with a gripping narrative that brings this ancient character into the "ups and downs" of our lives of doubt and faith. As he was, we are called to be faithful, no matter what might come.
"DAVID, The Shepard King"
"DAVID, The Shepard King" is the lastest book from Rev. George Truett Moore. Below is a brief synoposis.
Synopsis:
Scholars speak of David as the greatest king of Israel. His name is recorded more than 1000 times in Scripture, from Ruth to Revelation. The complexities of his life are staggering. He was a sheperd of sheep and people. He was a warrior king with blood on his hands. He was a musician and a poet. He was an adulterer and a murderer. Yet, above all he was faithful. His story is worth telling. This story is worth reading.
